Welcome back once more...
As the formal program came to a
close, Marilyn
Ewing Affleck stepped
forward to thank
Gunny for all his hard work in hosting this
luncheon and the
"Nurse Paparazzi" David & Chip for photographing these
luncheons for the web.
Of
course this meant a
cool new tie for Chip and engraved money
clips for all three*.
The "final detail" was to assemble all the Nurses, Corpsmen & Marines for a commemorative photograph.
The formal program ended on this high note with many people staying on afterwards to socialize some more.
Now the big question on everyone's mind was whether there would be another "Quiet Heroes " reunion-luncheon. What is your opinion??? Would you like to see a similar event in 2004?? If so then you can e-mail this website at chip@cflp.com and your remarks will be forwarded to Marilyn. Thank you all to those who attended this wonderful reunion in person and also to those attending by viewing these web pages. We leave you with a few more photos...

* David & I would like to express our sincerest thanks for the gifts presented to us by Marilyn and want everyone to know that it is our pleasure to be able to photograph these reunions. We are honored to have been asked to be part of the whole Quiet Heroes saga. We would also like to thank all of you cyber visitors for taking the time to learn of these special people who made a tremendous impact on many lives during the Korean War. Some call this War the "Forgotten War" but it is you who have helped remember it by remembering these courageous women & men.
